District Attorney

The District Attorney’s Office is responsible for prosecuting felony offenses and certain other criminal matters within its judicial circuit. The District Attorney, Assistant District Attorneys, and staff work with law enforcement agencies, victims, witnesses, and the courts to investigate and prosecute criminal cases in accordance with Georgia law.

The office is also responsible for presenting cases to grand juries, representing the State in criminal proceedings, and providing assistance and information to victims throughout the judicial process. The District Attorney’s Office is committed to carrying out its duties fairly, professionally, and in accordance with the law.

The District Attorney's Office is part of the Cordele Judicial Circuit. The Cordele Judicial Circuit covers four counties in South Georgia:

Crisp County
Ben Hill County
Dooly County
Wilcox County
