The Crisp County Probate Court exercises jurisdiction over the administration of estates of deceased persons, the appointment of guardians and/or conservators for minors and incapacitated adults, the involuntary evaluation of persons suffering from mental illness and/or abusing drugs or alcohol, and jurisdiction over traffic and certain other misdemeanor violations of Georgia law.
The Probate Court also issues marriage licenses, concealed firearms licenses, certain other licenses and permits, and performs certain administrative duties.
