2020 CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORT

The Lake Blackshear Area Water System, serving over 1400 customers in Crisp, Sumter, and Worth counties are pleased to report that the communities drinking water met or exceeded all safety and quality standards set by the State of Georgia and The Environmental Protection Agency during the previous year. The 2020 Water Quality Report provides customers with detailed accounts of all the monitoring and testing results gathered from water testing during the year. Crisp County Waterworks’ employees are committed to providing you with safe, dependable tap water on a year round basis, and are proud to provide the enclosed information.

Notice of Title VI Requirements

U.S Department of Justice regulations, 28 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 42.405, Public Dissemination of Title VI Information requires recipients of Federal financial assistance to publish or broadcast program information in the news media. Advertisements must state that the program is an equal opportunity program and/or indicate that Federal law prohibits discrimination. Additionally, reasonable steps shall be taken to publish information in languages understood by the population eligible to be served or likely to be directly affected by the program. Following is the public notice used by Crisp County, Georgia.

Crisp County hereby gives public notice that it is the policy of Crisp County to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related statues and regulations in all programs and activities. It is our policy that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex , age, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any of our programs or activities.

Any person who believes they have been subjected to unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint. The complaint must be filed in writing or in person with the Crisp County Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office within one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of the alleged discriminatory act or upon notice of the discriminatory act.

Crisp County Board of Assessors
Notification

In accordance with Georgia law, the Crisp County Board of Assessors must notify property owners prior to making a site visit. Notice is hereby given that a representative of the appraisal staff will review and inspect properties for the current digest year. The appraisal review may include measuring structures, listing construction information, and photographing the subject property.

Notice is also given that an onsite inspection may be required for real or personal property for which a return has been filed. Said property visit will be for the purpose of determining the correctness of the information contained in the county’s appraisal record for the property.
