The purpose of Planning & Zoning is to promote health, safety, convenience, order, prosperity, and general welfare of the present and future inhabitants of Crisp County. The staff strives to promote sound development and growth management concepts in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the development and conservation of Crisp County. The Planning & Zoning Department is committed to serving the community by providing an orderly procedure for the planning, zoning, and permitting processes that are efficient and sensitive to community needs.

This office provides building permits and inspection services for the unincorporatedareas of Crisp County. Please review all PDF Reference /Checklists for each permit before submitting a permit. All necessary and required documents should be uploaded and submitted with the online permit application. Rezoning, Special Use, and Variance Request
This office receives all rezoning, special use, and variance requests for the unincorporatedareas of Crisp County. An application for each can be found on our Request Portal link below. Please review all PDF Application, Approval, and Appeal Guidelines for each request before the request submittal. All necessary and required documents should be uploaded and submitted with the online request application. Previously submitted requests can also be searched for in the Request Application Portal.
This office also receives requests for Cemetery Disturbance, Land Development, and Land Development in a Flood Area requests. These requests can also be found in our Request Portal link below. Code Complaints
This office receives, reviews, and enforces all code compliance complaints for the unincorporatedareas of Crisp County. To submit a complaint, please click the " Code Complaint " button below to go to our Code Complaint Form portal. Please submit as much detail as possible so the complaint can be reviewed properly and an inspection can be completed. Please provide a working phone number, address, and email so a complaint can be followed up with in case additional questions are needed. Failure to provide these details could result in the complaint being closed for lack of information.
