MINUTES OF THE CRISP COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
CALLED MEETING HELD ON MARCH 19, 2008

OPENING CEREMONIES

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Ferrell Henry, with Commissioners James D. Harris, Brad Faircloth, and William Culpepper in attendance. Present also were County Administrator Lester E. Crapse, Jr., Attorney Rick Lawson, Financial Director Sherrie Leverett, Secretary Linda Finch, Sheriff Donnie Haralson, and Colonel Billy Hancock. Mr. Faircloth gave the invocation.

GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion was made by Mr. Harris to go into Executive Session to discuss potential litigation, seconded by Mr. Culpepper, motion carried unanimously.

COME OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion was made by Mr. Harris to come out of Executive Session, seconded by Mr. Faircloth, motion carried unanimously.

AUTHORIZE GEMA PAYMENT REIBMURSEMENT

Motion was made by Mr. Harris to authorize payment of $137,500 to be submitted to Georgia Emergency Management Agency as reimbursement, no later than March 25, 2008, seconded by Mr. Culpepper, motion carried unanimously.

APPROVE BEER LICENSE FOR RAYMOND LEE WILLIAMS

Administrator Crapse reported that we have an application for a distilled spirits license in the same building that Alton Hayslip was in on Hwy. 300 from Raymond Lee Williams. The Sheriff has run a background check on him, everything is okay, and he recommends approval of the distilled spirits license for a package store on Hwy. 300. Motion was made by Mr. Harris to approve the distilled spirits license for Raymond Lee Williams, seconded by Mr. Faircloth, motion carried unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion was made by Mr. Culpepper to adjourn the meeting at 10:06 a.m., seconded by Mr. Faircloth, motion carried unanimously.
