MINUTES
CRISP COUNTY ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
August 21, 2007
9:00 A.M.

The Crisp County Zoning Board of Appeals met at a regular meeting on the 21st day of August, at 9:00 a.m. in the Crisp County Courthouse.
The following members were present: Emmett Walker, J.C. Clark, Frank Lott, Bob McCadams and Mark Brubaker. Also present, Connie Sangster, Secretary & Planning Director & Jimmy Mumphery, County Building Inspector. Also present was the following visitor: Carden Summers.

MINUTES

VOTE: Motion made by J.C. Clark, seconded by Frank Lott to approve the Minutes of the July 17, 2007 meeting. Carried unanimously.

PUBLIC HEARING

Request from Carden Summers for a variance to reduce the required 50' front yard setback to 5' for the purpose of constructing a 150x40 (6000 sq. ft) metal building for the storage of farm equipment. Property located on Midway Church Road and being zoned RR (Rural Residential).

Chairman Emmett Walker called the hearing to order. Mr. Walker read aloud the criteria in which variance requests are handled. Mr. Summers was present and spoke on his own behalf. Mr. Summers stated that nothing has changed from last months meeting except that he is asking for 5' instead of 1'. Mr. Walker stated that he had been to the site and the building will be placed to where only one corner will be 5' off the line and the other side will be 12-15' back from the r-o-w.

At this time, Mr. Walker asked if there were any more questions. There were none. Mr. Walker stated that this concluded the public hearing portion of the meeting and now they would go into discussion and vote.

MEETING

After discussion, the chairman asked for a motion.
VOTE: A motion was made by Frank Lott, seconded by Mark Brubaker to approve the request for a variance to reduce the required 50' front yard to setback to 5'. Carried unanimously.
