Chairman J. R. Dowdy, Jr. called the meeting to order. Commissioners James D. Harris, A. James Nance, Joyce C. Pheil, Ferrell Henry, County Administrator John S. Pate, Jr., County Attorney Guy D. Pfeiffer and secretary Linda Finch in attendance.
- Invocation

- Approval Resolution for Martha Hendley
Motion by Mr. Nance, seconded by Mrs. Pheil and motion carried, approving Resolution thanking Martha Hendley for her years of service. Mr. Pate will get the Resolution framed.
- Discuss Cedar Creek Study
Mr. Pate advised that he has received a letter from Stephenson & Palmer regarding the cost of the Cedar Creek Study, and stated that due to all of their commitments, they will not have time to submit a bid.
- Consultant for Financial Services Approved
Mr. Pate reported that the Association County Commissioners of Georgia has contracted with a financial consultant that can come down and help the county until we can hire someone for the Financial Director’s position, and he will be entering in the expenses for the budget and other services that come up relating to the Finance Department. Commissioners were concerned about the cost, and it was agreed that we could pay the consultant around one and one-half days a week which would amount to about the same as the Financial Director’s salary and still stay within budget.
Motion by Mrs. Pheil, seconded by Mr. Nance and motion carried, approving in principle the proposal for the financial consultant, Mike Jackson, the contract will be ready for the March 11th meeting, and authorizing Mike Jackson to start working in accordance to the proposal until we get a contract.
- Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
